Spinner Training
In this group class, we are getting out your Spinner training aid! Louise teaches everyone how to get the most out of their spinner as we practice different spins and twizzles, in order to improve your ability on the ice.
This class using your Spinner is not only intended to improve your spinning, turning and twizzling ability for the ice and roller rinks but also devised to improve your posture, your balance, strengthening your core and compliment your overall body conditioning.
In this Spinner Training Class you will be learning to spin off ice! It can help to increase your rotational speed, stabilise your positions, improve your orientation and visual focus too. It is not an easy task to work with the Spinner. If you can master the work off ice, you can be confident it will aid your progress on ice or the roller rink.
It is an enjoyable class where we focus on getting solid technique on the basic positions. We work on both both forwards and backwards spins, sometimes in both directions. We often add difficult variations to which the more advanced students can excel at and the improvers can work towards.
This is a group class but as with all the group classes, Louise likes to ensure all students get personalised coaching points, rather than a one size fits all approach. Louise’s scientific and technical approach will help you to gain the knowledge you need to help your self in practice.
This Spinner Training Class requires you to provide your own “Spinner”. You do not need to spend hundreds on a top of the range, high end device. A simple, lightweight and inexpensive Spinner, ideally with a “Rocker” (curved bottom), is generally just as efficient for this class and to accelerate your spinning potential.
